Recollections of research collaborations with I.S. Shklovskii, Melvin Calvin, Joshua Lederberg, James Pollack, and others; research on planetary atmospheres; appointment as editor of ICARUS; and formation of Division of Planetary Sciences; involvement in various organizations and causes.
